Ophthalmoscope is a device used to inspect internal eye structures, red reflex, retina, retina vessels, optic disc, macula and fovea.
Internal eye structures are visible only with illumination such as that which is provided by an ophthalmoscope. This ophthalmoscope is utilized to inspect and examine the structures posterior to the iris which includes the lens and fundus. This also includes the choroid. The use of this ophthalmoscope requires considerable skill and practice for an accurate result.
It has a power supply of AC220V per 50 Hz and an illumination bulb of 3.5V per 2.8W halogen lamp. Its illumination form can be big spot, small spot, a red free, central net and slit.
